Job Summary:
Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional seeking an Inventory Control Specialist role in Houston, Texas? We are looking for a meticulous individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that stock levels are correct, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse management. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
  • Organize warehouse stock, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Track the movement of goods within the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
  • Work closely with receiving, shipping, and fulfillment teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and understanding of necessary PPE.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
