About
We have an opening for a diligent Receiving Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland! This critical role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying quantities and types of items against shipping documents, inspecting for damage, and meticulously recording all details into our inventory management system. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area is a top priority. Collaboration with other departments is key to ensuring smooth logistics operations and timely availability of stock. Your attention to detail, commitment to Safety, and ability to perform physical tasks are essential. We provide all necessary PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments promptly and safely.
- Accurately match received goods with purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system with precision.
- Ensure the receiving area is kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding deliveries.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed for material handling.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a receiving, shipping, or inventory role is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity for moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
