About
Join our vibrant warehouse team in Orlando, Florida as a Material Handler. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that materials are moved, staged, and prepared for various warehouse processes. You will be responsible for using equipment and your own physical capabilities to handle goods throughout the warehouse, supporting inbound and outbound logistics. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting items to designated areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining a strong commitment to safety , following all protocols, and utilizing the required personal protective equipment (PPE ). This position requires consistent physical effort, including significant Lifting , and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and a team player dedicated to contributing to our overall operational success. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Stage materials for shipping, receiving, or production areas.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including aisles and dock doors.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear and correctly use all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Perform general warehouse duties to support operational flow.
- Handle regular tasks involving significant Lifting of goods.
- Contribute to the efficient functioning of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, material handling, or labor role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and manual labor consistently.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics .
- Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices.
- Proficiency in wearing and using all assigned PPE .
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
- Good communication skills.
