Are you ready to be the backbone of our warehouse operations in bustling New York City, New York? We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, tracking, and organization of materials and products throughout our facility. This includes receiving incoming shipments, inspecting goods for damage, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing shipments. You will operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, ensuring the smooth flow of goods. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is a top priority, and you will be trained on proper equipment operation and handling procedures. Strong attention to detail is required to accurately record inventory movements and ensure that all materials are accounted for. This position demands physical stamina, as it involves frequent Lifting and manual handling of goods. We are committed to your well-being and provide comprehensive training on safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in our supply chain, contributing to the efficiency and success of our logistics network. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 70 lbs) and physical tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
