Overview
Meta is looking for an engineer to join the Production Services Automation Team (PSAT) under the Infra Data Center (IDC) organization at Meta. The IDC org is responsible for deploying and supporting one of the world’s largest, most complex, and robust networks. Automation is the key to meeting our demands; you will be responsible for conceiving, developing and launching tools to support network deployment, maintenance, and scale of data center and edge infrastructure. As a member of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of global networking at Meta.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize, design, build, and maintain internal tools (Web, Mobile, etc) to support network designing, planning, deployment, operation, etc
Drive requirements with engineering teams, vendors and third parties to align our internal tooling efforts
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement, verify and iterate on internal customer facing products, identify and resolve performance and user interface scalability issues
Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
Help scale and optimize our overall network capacity by developing cutting edge software solutions which improve efficiency and bring automation to our data centers
Proactively find gaps that impact multiple teams/orgs, come up with the execution plan and drive the project and influence other teams to reach there
Help make the people around you move faster by identifying issues slowing the team down and driving changes to address them
Lead/mentor other folks within and outside of the team. Work with other team members from partner teams, understand their challenges, define and deliver automation solutions to address challenges
Help with recruiting and onboarding of new members to the team. Help them by mentoring and assuring their quick ramp up within our environment
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of experience building software for network infrastructure
Experience with programming languages (Javascript, PHP, Python, Go, or C++)
Experience with Web technologies (React.JS, HTML, CSS)
Experience with fullstack development (SQL, PHP/Hack, GraphQL)
Knowledge of architectural design for frontend applications and fullstack systems
Experience debugging issues, benchmarking performance, and implementing automated testing
Proven experience translating business requirements into software requirements and explaining the system design
Knowledge of technology-agnostic approach to engineering
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of PHP, Javascript, Python, React, GraphQL
Experience leading and contributing to large cross-functional projects in a global environment
Experience working on a global team in a matrixed environment with limited supervision

$135,000/year to $191,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
