Position Overview:
Oakton Financial Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the dual role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Controller. This unique position will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the company's operations and financial management, ensuring alignment with our goals and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Chief Operating Officer (COO) Duties:
- Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including our core service offerings like outsourced bookkeeping and financial management.
- Collaborate with the executive team to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead cross-functional teams to enhance processes and implement best practices.
- Foster a values-driven culture that promotes employee engagement and accountability.
Controller Duties:
- Manage all accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Prepare and present financial statements to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies to safeguard assets.
- Lead the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in senior management roles, particularly in the financial services industry, of at least 5 years.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
