United Community
is looking for an experienced
Information Security Analyst
to join our team and help safeguard the Bank's network, systems, and data. In this role, you will plan, implement, maintain, and monitor security measures to ensure compliance and protect against threats. You will collaborate closely with Information Technology to implement controls, respond to incidents, and lead recurring security and compliance monitoring tasks
What You'll Do
Monitor logs, alerts, and events to detect potential security incidents. Manage and evaluate perimeter network systems, including firewalls, IDPS, and web-proxies. Perform vulnerability assessments and provide risk reports with mitigation strategies. Manage host-based protection technologies (IDPS, firewall, anti-virus). Conduct user access reviews across systems for risk and regulatory compliance. Maintain procedural and training documentation for internal and cross-department use. Monitor threat intelligence sources for emerging risks and threats. Coordinate and support incident response and remediation efforts. Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including risk assessments and documentation. Conduct and evaluate user security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and training. Requirements For Success
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 4 years combined experience in IT and/or information security. Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, packet analysis, and common attacks. Familiarity with secure configuration and management of client/server systems. Understanding of security concepts such as encryption, malware behavior, incident response, and penetration testing. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Conditions of Employment
