Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Job Overview

A growing autonomous mobility company is hiring Automotive Technicians to support and maintain its fleet of autonomous electric vehicles in Austin, TX.

In this role, you will apply your automotive expertise to ensure vehicles remain safe, reliable, and road-ready in a fast-paced operational environment. Your work will directly impact fleet performance through routine maintenance, minor repairs, and on-site field support.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced automotive technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with advanced autonomous and electric vehicle technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document vehicle damage following road incidents
• Perform minor on-site repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections (brakes, fluids, AC, tires, etc.)
• Monitor vehicle condition and proactively report potential issues
• Support field operations, including overseeing vehicle evacuations and towing
• Transport vehicles for service appointments, repairs, and car washes
• Maintain fleet and shop cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards

Requirements

• Prior experience as an automotive technician or in a similar mechanical role
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and EV fundamentals
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage fast-changing priorities
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Comfortable working around advanced autonomous vehicle technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as an EV Technician
• Experience working with ADAS or autonomous vehicle platforms

Schedule

Technicians are assigned to one consistent shift:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Weekend Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
