About
Join our team as a Forklift Operator in our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This position is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store materials and products safely and accurately. A keen understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and strict adherence to safety procedures are critical for success in this role. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth logistics flow and timely order fulfillment. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) is mandatory at all times. This role involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting of items and requires good spatial awareness and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (various types) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange items in a secure and organized manner.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
- Wear and utilize required PPE , including safety vests, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
- Assist with inventory counts and location verification.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the daily operational flow of our logistics department.
- Engage in tasks requiring frequent Lifting and maneuvering of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety .
- Ability to perform tasks requiring substantial Lifting and physical stamina.
- Proficiency in wearing and using mandated PPE .
- Good spatial reasoning and hand-eye coordination.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
