Sales Representative
C & B Operations is a progressive company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-six John Deere dealerships in six states. We are searching for an experienced Sales Representative at its location in Circle, Montana. This position is focused on new business development. The ideal candidate will maintain sales management information for customers, conduct new equipment demonstrations, monitor trends in customer's business activities and provide communication to management. Other duties include maintaining current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluating equipment properly for trading purposes as well as maintaining knowledge of financing for the purchase of new and used goods. This is a full time opportunity with a base salary plus commission. Responsibilities include developing relationships and expanding customer pipelines, implementing strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory, creating customer specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis, conducting market research to produce competitive comparisons, developing and maintaining expertise on industry trends and best practices, maintaining sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory, maintaining assigned company vehicles and equipment, conducting new equipment field demonstrations, monitoring trends in customer's business activities and providing timely communication to management, maintaining current knowledge of used equipment values and having the ability to evaluate equipment properly for trading purposes, maintaining current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods, and attending applicable sales training events/seminars. Qualifications include at least 3 years prior outside sales experience, experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment, self-driven to actively prospect, cultivate and close new business opportunities using effective questioning skills to tailor solution benefits to meet prospect needs, exceptional communication and sales presentation skills, relating well to all kinds of people and easily building trusting relationships, unwavering integrity and strong work ethic, willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow business relationships, proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, valid driver's license and a safe driving record, ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, previous sales knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and outdoor power equipment strongly preferred, and high school diploma or equivalent required.
