We are seeking positive and enthusiastic people who love to serve We are seeking a Lead Team Member to join our team. The Shift Manager is a non-exempt management role, overseeing the team, the kitchen, and the front of house, all to ensure a great shift in a clean restaurant

Main Responsibilities:

  • Able to lead and perform the opening/closing procedures for the restaurant
  • Ensures the team maintains clean and organized storage areas and follows all receiving procedures
  • Manages the cleanliness of the restaurant to exceed Department of Health standards and upholds food quality according to Burgerfi standards
  • Takes the necessary steps to ensure that all equipment functions properly in order to provide the team with the tools they need to serve our guests to our high standards
  • Secures the restaurant and always ensures the safety and security of the team
  • Manages Labor according to current expectations set by the General Manager
  • Able to create a daily shift plan for their area (front of house, back of house) to include breaks, scheduled tasks and training/development for new and existing team members
  • Ability to adapt quickly when needed with a new plan or course of action to ensure service is not disrupted
  • Proactive in all areas of safety and security both inside and outside of the restaurant
  • Familiar with Burgerfi policies and proactive in holding team accountable
  • Upholds the policy for all vendors visiting the restaurant according to current policies

People

  • Trains, coaches and guides team members during the shift – ensuring that all communication and tools are being used and followed – in a continuous effort to achieve operational excellence, effective communication and uncommon hospitality every day on every shift
  • Manages and cultivates relationships with the team, guests, and vendors
  • Manages the team's appearance and performance
  • Able to communicate with other Managers and team members in a professional manner

Guest Experience

  • Manages the shift to ensure the lowest possible wait times and amazing hospitality while driving sales, reducing waste and upholding quality standards
  • Manages shift labor to ensure proper staff utilization, proper employee breaks and overall labor efficiency during the shift
  • Manages and ensures that all cash handling, reconciliation and credit card procedures are followed on the shift to ensure the safe-keeping of our employees and the security of all cash and credit card transactions
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with all BURGERFI standards as well as all local, state and federal safety, health and employment laws
  • Understands significance of shift coverage and overtime regulations
  • Performs an accurate walk-through of shift in order to setup the next shift/Manager up for success (stocking, entire restaurant cleanliness, exterior grounds)

The perfect fit for our culture will have:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of Restaurant management experience; QSR or fast-casual is preferred
  • Strong communicator able to effectively coach and give direction with enthusiasm, positivity, and energy
