About
The Document Control Coordinator will be responsible for the document control processing and working with the Quality Management System to implement, update, maintain, and monitor activities and requirements related to the control files, logs, and records. The coordinator will also review, verify, and validate processes to implement and maintain a unified quality system across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate effective implementation of the facility's management system (policies, procedures, processes) against company and regulatory standards (SQF, BAP, HACCP, Global Gap, ASC/MSC).
- Review and update existing standards, specifications or requirements in order to comply with changes in regulatory and customer requirements, and to support new product development.
- Executive a process mapping displaying tasks and roles associated with a process and the relationship between steps.
- Participate in special projects, as determined and delegated by the QA Manager.
- Follow all company safety policies while performing job duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years' minimum experience working in a similar role, or food and beverage industry.
- Working knowledge of document management required - Ability to create, approve, track, and file documents and records in compliance with the facility's management system or other formal guidelines.
- Knowledge of audit process (e.g. interviewing, data analysis, inspections). This includes communicating findings and determining corrective actions.
- Trained in SQF, Internal auditor, HACCP, BAP, BRC, Global Gap and ASC/MSC.
- Bilingual-Spanish strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong technical writing skill.
- Some travel may be required.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related degree preferred.
