About
The Communications Manager is responsible for maintaining digital communications tools and communicating with members and the public through the various tools and associated responsibilities outlined below.
COLLABORATION
The Communications Manager functions as part of the Communications and Events team and works cooperatively with each member of this team to ensure outstanding work-products that clearly demonstrate pride in Aim and Aim's statement of purpose. Communications Manager, like all members of the Communications and Events team, will seek feedback, proofreading, and alternative approaches as needed to ensure accuracy, message consistency, brand identity, etc.
Essential Functions
Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage the webinar and virtual meetings platform.
· Prepare and send marketing emails for all Aim events.
· Manage the production of all other marketing and informational emails.
· Manage the Aim awards program, including coordination with winners regarding awards luncheon videos and manage luncheon welcome videos with videographer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONTINUED
· Assist in the recruitment of Aim and affiliate group speakers and assist with various events as requested.
· Prepare podium scripts for major Aim events in conjunction with other team members.
· Prepare, implement, and manage Aim post-event surveys evaluations and share results with appropriate staff.
· Execute the data collection and compilation, and manage the distribution of the Aim Wage, Salary, and Fringe Benefits Survey.
· Assist COO in management of social media.
· Manage the posting of all website content and ensure the website is consistent, on-brand and current.
· Manage specified contractual relationships relative to the website.
· Manage relationship with Aim commercial printer(s), including obtaining project quotes, uploading files, approving proofs, and keeping an archive of all communications with the same.
· Produce and send Municipal Dispatch e-newsletter with staff assistance as needed.
· Manage the design and final production of the Legislative Summary e-newsletter and necessary legislative alerts. This includes occasional design elements.
· As needed, create registration brochures, forms and event collateral including PowerPoint presentations, event tickets, etc. This includes occasionally providing design elements.
· As needed, but not to exceed approximately 10 hours per month, provide Communications assistance to the Aim staff assigned to the Aim Medical Trust. This includes occasionally providing design elements.
· Evaluate analytics to maximize communication and marketing tools.
· Provide storytelling assistance as needed and assist COO with identification of stories for The Terminal.
· Manage the production side of Aim Hometown Innovations Podcast, including management of sound equipment, editing of recorded episodes, editing of recorded ads, and posting of final content on website and various web platforms as needed.
· Assist with content management and recommend ideas for using existing Aim content across multiple platforms.
· Provide additional design and production skills as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Required bachelor's degree, preferred in digital, design or other communications field of study.
· 3 years of related experience required.
knowledge, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Clear, concise and accurate writing skills.
· Persuasion and encouragement when speaking with citizens to make them feel comfortable with interviewing giving quotes.
· Organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organizations, members, and affiliate officers.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
· Ability to effectively use email (MS Outlook) and MS Office software programs as necessary.
· Experience and/or ability to learn database software systems.
· Ability to effectively use Adobe Creative Suite.
· Understanding of HTML code and able to make minor modifications to code as needed.
· Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools, including but not limited to:
o Basic sound and video editing equipment as necessary.
o Image scanners, fax machines, and photocopiers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $59, $71,555.70 per year
Expected hours: 7.5 – 10 per week
