About
Primary Summary: The Functional Analyst is responsible for department-level configuration, maintenance, and monitoring functionality within technology systems for the department. The analyst researches, troubleshoots systems errors and works with Technology Support for resolution. The Analyst provides documentation and expertise for the development of departmental training and provides system on-the-job training within the department. The Analyst tests and completes system upgrades, builds basic custom reports, runs reports, and archives data based on data retention policies. The Analyst develops and maintains metrics to ensure objectives are met. Delays or errors in performing functions would have a significant impact to business operations and customers. The Analyst collaborates with other departments to troubleshoot their modules to ensure all modules are integrated correctly.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors pre/post-implementation problems and revisions.
- Develops procedure/maintains system documentation for processes or modifications.
- Configures new tables and maintains and monitor various tables and data within systems to ensure system in performing correctly.
- Identifies, researches, and troubleshoots systems errors and problems and coordinates with Technology Support for resolution.
- Collaborates with other departments to troubleshoot their modules to ensure all modules are integrated correctly.
- Works with the leadership teams for Advising and Admissions to develop and maintain the Marketing Cloud strategy.
- Performs upgrade functions and testing to ensure system readiness for production.
- Using the TEST Environment - all new processes are set up in TEST first to ensure working properly and then moved into production.
- Provides departmental end user support.
- Develops basic custom reports and run reports for management use.
- Keeps apprised of area of expertise and networks with the technology user groups.
- Functional lead for projects that impact Academic Advising and Admissions.
- Updates metrics and Key Performance Indicator reports for Academic Advising and Admissions.
- Identifies daily jobs that run within system that fail and troubleshoot, collaborate with Technical Support.
- Works internal tickets within a timely manner.
- Job requires weekend work from home when new upgrades are installed for testing after it is moved into Production.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of Information Technology Functions.
- Two (2) years' experience with Academic Advising and Admissions.
- Two (2) years' experience with Oracle PeopleSoft required.
- 1 year experience with
- Strong knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to quality and personal ethics to maintain a high level of confidentiality related to all duties and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment and with customers on the phone, through email and face to face.
- Detail orientation, accuracy, and ability to think and organize information in a systematic manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Flexibility and the ability at times to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
