What You Will Do:
Guidehouseis seeking adata scientistto support client engagements through data analysis, visualization,prototyping,dashboardingand insight development.The analytic support will be focused ondescribingepidemiologicpatterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations. This role involvesinforming epidemiologic studydesign,analyzing, and interpreting health datato inform decisionmaking, disease prevention strategies, and policy development.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with Power BIand other analytics tools (Python, R, SQL), familiarity withhealthcare(CMS, EHR)and/or public healthdata, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data ScientistsatGuidehousework collaboratively with cross-functional teams, support client deliverables, and contribute to high-impact solutions across public and commercial sector clients.
KeyResponsibilities
Gather and translate business requirements into analytical and reporting solutions
Analyze structured and semi-structured datasets toidentifytrends, patterns, and insights
Collaborate with clients to design, develop, andmaintainPower BI dashboards and reports to support client decision-making
Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity
Support client presentations and deliverables by clearly communicating analytical findings
Collaboratewith project teams, leadership,and client stakeholders to support project objectives
Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, and processes
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics and reporting practices
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in DataAnalytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
A minimum of ONE (1) year of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics
Demonstrated hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI
Strongproficiencyin Excel and SQL (or similar query languages)
Experience translating business questions into analytical solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently and work effectively in a team-based consulting environment
Willingness to travel as required by client engagements
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Consulting or professional services experience
Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
Experience working withclaims dataor complex datasets
Familiarity withepidemiologicconcepts and best practices
Experience with other BI or analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R)
Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g.,Databricks, Snowflake, Azure)
Experience supporting public sector or regulated industry clients
