Description
ABCD's Education, Training, and Youth Services Department offers a range of education and job training programs to help community members reach their goals. The
Manager - Strategic Program Development
works closely with the Vice President of Workforce Development to engage in strategic planning and implementation efforts to deliver on the Education, Training, & Youth Services Department's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with Vice President to help identify, establish, and implement strategic priorities.
  • Partners with the Vice President to develop implementation roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, and metrics by which to measure success and impact, in furtherance of department goals and objectives relative to workforce development programming.
  • Partners with the Vice President to plan, launch, and monitor the development of expanded or new workforce development programs, projects, or initiatives.
  • Leads intra-department working groups and projects as assigned.
  • Work closely with, and function as an internal consultant to, Department program teams to establish or clarify program objectives.
  • Supports the Vice President in the development of staffing models to enable the attainment of department and/or program goals and objectives.
  • Assists in the development of methods to communicate processes, goals, and status of programs and projects with diverse audiences, both internal and external.
  • Engages with partners and potential partners, as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five years of planning and/or program management experience is required.
  • Advance degree in social services or management is preferred.
  • Excellent prioritization and facilitation skills with a clear focus on results.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and consult with cross-functional teams working on operational and strategic initiatives
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work in a team required.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

Expected Salary: $69,997.20 USD. Salary scales are set according to an explicit compensation policy and relevant market data. Due to funding restrictions and our strong focus on internal parity, this salary is thoughtfully aligned with the duties expected for this role, and offers are firm.
