Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Duties
- Manage inventory control using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels and locations
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely
- Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with materials handling including heavy lifting and mechanical operations to ensure smooth warehouse flow
- Maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations during all warehouse activities
- Utilize AS400 systems for order processing and inventory updates
- Support warehouse distribution processes by coordinating order fulfillment and ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold safety protocols and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with knowledge of inventory management systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and safety procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400, and inventory control practices
- Experience with shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, load & unload activities in manufacturing or construction environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and order fulfillment
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or management is a plus
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and walk throughout large warehouse facilities
- Valid certification or experience with heavy equipment operation is desirable but not mandatory
