Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, with skills in floor care, custodial maintenance, and general facilities upkeep. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas
- Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care techniques
- Clean restrooms, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Conduct detailed cleaning of windows, carpets, and upholstery as needed
- Assist with custodial tasks such as restocking supplies and minor maintenance repairs
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Ensure all work areas are kept organized and free of hazards
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, including commercial or industrial cleaning environments
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and waxing
- Experience with facilities maintenance or Porter duties is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning tools and equipment used in residential or commercial settings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment

Pay: $14.00 per hour
