Host/Hostess

Sister's American Grill is looking for a host/hostess to join our team. The host/hostess is responsible for making sure that the customer has the best possible experience and to resolve any issues that may arise. The restaurant host/hostess responsibilities include answering the phone, taking reservations, seating guest, taking to go orders, bussing tables and assist with opening and closing of the restaurant. The right candidate for this position is someone with prior hosting or serving experience.

Qualifications:

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred
• Knowledge of proper food handling
• Strong written/verbal communications skills
• Positive upbeat attitude/personality
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision
• Punctuality and reliable attendance are required
• Experience working with POS (Micros, Meridian Star etc.) and reservation software (Open Table)
