Job Summary
RW America is a leader in the wholesale specialty building material supply field. Serving 15 states, RW is growing and looking to add a Business Development Manager to our St. Louis Missouri are. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic plans to expand our market presence. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and foster long-term partnerships.
Duties
- Develop new customers that fit the RW requirements within your territory
- Display new products and develop a sales strategy to get those products in the dealer's location.
- Develop relationships with builders, contractors and architects in the assigned territory to promote and pull through the sales of our products.
- Provide excellent customer service for our customers and resolve disputes.
- Prepare quotations and estimates for customers on requested products.
- Work closely with management and inside sales to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to be able to offer the most current products and services to the customer.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of all products offered through continued training from vendors and suppliers.
- Work with customers to develop a marketing strategy to pull through sales at their locations.
- Train customer salespeople on the features and benefits of our products and help them demonstrate that to the end users.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within a competitive industry.
- 3 years' experience in the building or building material industry preferred.
- Proven record in sales and marketing
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check.
- Must be willing to travel with some overnight stays required.
- Ability to make cold calls on both new and potential customers.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn and use the company software for quotations and orders.
- Ability to complete and maintain comprehensive expense reports.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80, $120,000.00 per year
