About The Role
Brilliant Earth is seeking a data-driven Conversion Optimization Strategist/Manager to lead our site optimization initiatives and drive measurable improvements in customer engagement and conversion. In this role, you'll own our A/B testing program, optimize the customer journey through strategic content and merchandising decisions, and translate insights into action across our digital experience.
What You'll Do
Conversion Rate Optimization & Testing
- Design, implement, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests across the site to improve CTR, down-funnel metrics, and conversion rates
- Develop comprehensive testing roadmaps based on data analysis, user behavior insights, and business priorities
- Partner with cross-functional teams (UX, engineering, marketing, product) to execute tests and implement winning variations
- Monitor and report on test performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Build and maintain a testing calendar that balances quick wins with longer-term strategic experiments
- Collaborate with brand, retail, and merchandising to strategize and execute cross functional initiatives across the site experience
Visual Merchandising & Site Optimization
- Optimize product listing page (PLP) experiences including product sort algorithms, filter functionality, and navigation structure, product badging strategy and product recommendations across all digital properties
- Leverage merchandising tools and platforms to enhance product discoverability and drive conversion
- Analyze customer behavior patterns to inform merchandising strategies and product placement decisions
- Collaborate with product and merchandising teams to ensure optimal product mix and presentation
- Continuously refine site navigation and information architecture based on performance data
- Use personalization across the digital experience to further optimize the shopping journey
- Define and test conversion levers including but not limited to product badging, company initiatives, urgency messaging, etc.
Analytics & Insights
- Define and track KPIs related to conversion, engagement, and customer journey metrics
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks in partnership with Insights and Analytics team to measure impact and communicate results
- Identify optimization opportunities through analysis of user behavior, funnel performance, and site analytics
- Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to identify best practices and emerging trends
What You Bring
Required:
- 4+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization or digital merchandising
- Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in conversion rates and site performance
- Strong expertise with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Dynamic Yield, VWO, Google Optimize, or similar)
- Experience with visual merchandising tools (Algolia, Searchspring, etc.)
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar)
- Deep understanding of e-commerce metrics, customer journey optimization, and online merchandising principles
- Proficiency in visual merchandising platforms and PLP optimization tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tests simultaneously
- Clear communicator who can present complex findings to diverse audiences
- Ability to leverage AI tools to improve operational efficiency
Preferred:
- Experience in luxury or jewelry industry a plus
- Familiarity with personalization and recommendation engines
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge or technical aptitude
- Experience with heatmapping and session replay tools (Hotjar, ContentSquare, etc.)
- Background in UX research or user testing methodologies
- SQL or data analysis skills
