About
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
- Read production schedules, orders, and pick lists to determine items to be pulled, gathered, or distributed.
- Manage inventory and update records of material moved or stored.
- Prepare and fulfill warehouse orders.
- Track all materials handled and ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material status and potential issues.
- The ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs is required.
- Commitment to following all company Safety protocols is essential for this role.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift. Must be at least 18 years old. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. Must be willing to work flexible hours if needed. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and the ability to handle repetitive tasks.
