We are searching for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Houston, Texas. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. This critical role involves coordinating receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and dispatch operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing our logistics processes and achieving operational goals. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Develop and implement work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- While direct Lifting may be infrequent, supervisors must be able to demonstrate proper techniques and occasionally assist with tasks up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
