Are you a skilled technician with a passion for maintaining critical equipment? Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is seeking a motivated Warehouse Technician. This vital role involves ensuring that all warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and forklifts, are in optimal working condition. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, and conducting preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential. This position is key to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our extensive logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and ASRS.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to address equipment-related issues promptly.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order replacements as needed.
- Operate machinery safely when necessary to test repairs.
- Proper usage of PPE is mandatory during all maintenance tasks.
- While the primary role is technical, occasional Lifting of parts up to 50 pounds may be required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with various warehouse technologies and equipment.
- A commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
