We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to load, unload, and transport materials. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount to ensure inventory is managed correctly and safely. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures accurately.
- Proper use of required PPE is mandatory at all times.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator, preferably in a logistics or warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
