Join our team as an Order Picker in Omaha, Nebraska, and play a vital role in our logistics network. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, selecting specified items, and preparing them for shipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing directly to our company's success. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or system prompts.
- Utilize RF scanners to accurately record picks and manage inventory.
- Package items carefully to prevent damage during shipping.
- Conduct quality checks to verify order accuracy before dispatch.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring compliance with Safety standards.
- Strictly follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Support inventory management initiatives, such as cycle counting.
- Communicate any issues related to inventory, orders, or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Foster a collaborative environment and assist colleagues in meeting team goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand order fulfillment instructions.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is preferred.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- Capability for Lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- A strong dedication to Safety and adherence to guidelines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
