We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Picker to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy are paramount to our operations and customer satisfaction. We are looking for motivated individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using pick lists or RF scanning devices.
- Ensure the correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
- Transport picked items to the packing station efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all warehouse guidelines.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock put-away as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors.
- Support the overall logistics and operational flow of the distribution center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and order picking processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
