About
Our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a proactive Material Handler to join our dedicated warehouse team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of materials throughout our **logistics** hub. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, and potentially forklifts. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a **safe** working environment, requiring strict adherence to all **safety** protocols and the mandatory use of **PPE**. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all **safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Collaborate with team members to meet **logistics** goals.
- Perform **lifting** and moving of materials as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment.
Familiarity with **logistics** and inventory control principles.
Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Commitment to workplace **safety** and proper **PPE** usage.
Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, bending, and **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
