We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk at our Minneapolis, Minnesota distribution center. This role is the first point of contact for incoming goods and is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and operational flow. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight efficiently and safely.
- Verify packing slips and purchase orders against delivered goods.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or defects.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and prepare received goods for put-away or staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed for unloading.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to management promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
