About
We are expanding our operations in Atlanta, Georgia, and seeking a reliable Material Handler to support our logistics and distribution functions. This role is integral to the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Accuracy, safety, and teamwork are key components of this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Stage materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper inventory rotation.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to operate industrial trucks and equipment.
- Must be able to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive motions.
- Knowledge of safety practices and commitment to using PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
