Join our growing team as an Order Picker in sunny Tampa, Florida! We are looking for diligent and efficient individuals to accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment. This role is a cornerstone of our **logistics** operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, selecting items, and preparing them for dispatch, all while prioritizing **safety** and maintaining a high level of accuracy. This position offers a great starting wage and the chance to work in a dynamic distribution environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order slips or electronic scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into boxes or other shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and labeling for shipment.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring **safety** of the workspace.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company **safety** guidelines and wear appropriate **PPE**.
- Assist with receiving and stocking duties as needed.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing productivity goals.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our **logistics** department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or similar role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability of **lifting** up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic **logistics**.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following **safety** procedures and using **PPE**.
