Join our vibrant warehouse team in Tampa, Florida, as an Order Picker! We are looking for individuals with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for efficiency to ensure our customers receive their orders correctly and promptly. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating our facility to gather the specified items for each order. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations and requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable with physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Safety is paramount; therefore, strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Verify product details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely for shipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring accessibility and safety.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged products to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing inventory as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely when required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established performance goals for picking speed and accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Capability to perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting tasks (up to 40 lbs).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and properly using PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment where conditions may vary. The role involves sustained physical activity including standing, walking, and manual tasks. Safety compliance, including the consistent use of provided PPE, is mandatory.
