We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and documenting shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Your primary duties will involve coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment details, generating shipping labels, and maintaining shipping records. You'll play a crucial part in the efficient flow of products from our warehouse to our customers, ensuring all orders are handled with precision and care. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operation within the warehouse environment. We expect our Shipping Clerks to be adept at using various shipping software and equipment, and to adhere strictly to all company policies and safety regulations. Your contributions are vital to our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory management systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages in shipments.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and documentation.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs) regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to Safety in the workplace.
