About
Lead Data Scientist
to join our passionate team. What You'll Do: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and implement analytical models that align with our business objectives and adhere to Edwards Lifesciences standards.
Conduct both ad hoc and strategic analyses (including market model metrics and algorithm updates) and present actionable insights to leadership to drive informed decision-making.
Utilize predictive modeling, machine learning, and algorithmic techniques on both structured and unstructured data to enhance commercial insights and patient outcomes.
Lead the implementation of advanced analytics processes and tools, establishing standards for algorithm development and model validation.
Promote best practices in data science, guiding the adoption of analytical tools throughout teams.
Support data governance efforts, working alongside data stewards to ensure high-quality data management and processing.
Identify and integrate new data sources and technologies to enhance our analytical capabilities and foster innovation.
Work Flexibility:
This role offers a hybrid work model requiring 3 days onsite each week. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biostatistics, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a Master's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. with at least 3 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models, including NLP and predictive analytics, in healthcare settings.
Strong skills in working with real world data (e.g., Optum, IQVIA Claims, CMS) and the ability to convey complex insights effectively.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities with a history of navigating complex technical challenges.
Thorough knowledge of AI and Machine Learning principles, model development, and lifecycle management.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize in a dynamic and regulated environment.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3) and proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing projects.
Commitment to compliance and stewardship in all aspects of work.
Exceptional documentation skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
We offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide range of benefits programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families. The base pay range for this position in California is $123,000 to $174,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
