DRIVER CLASS B Job Summary:

This position requires the ability to drive a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). May load and unload vehicle as required. Requires commercial drivers' license.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:

Greets customers with respect and courtesy.

Keeps up to date with the product inventory and its functionality.

Should ask questions and provide relevant information to the customers that they might need and then list down the orders which the customers might purchase, thereby providing them excellent customer service.

Inspect vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, including the completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods including the inspection of loads to ensure that cargo is secure.

Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.

Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle.

Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect
