The Work
The Strategic Financial Management (SFM) division provides expertise on the four pillars of balance sheet management to the Canadian Credit Union system. SFM is also responsible for building strong relationships with Credit Unions across Canada. The position of Finance Associate is responsible to work closely with SFM clients to build and develop customized chart of accounts within the Risk Manager software. The Finance Associate will utilize sophisticated software and advanced technical skills to build client balance sheets to be utilized by the Finance Analysts, Senior Finance Analysts and Directors of Strategic Financial Management. This position is also responsible to verify all client data for accuracy, produce gap reports, enter derivative transactions, and generate cash flow reports. Integrity and veracity of information is required to support forecasting and accurate reporting for balance sheet management and regulatory reporting. This role will also support the team in credit union data analytics and identify market trends
The core parts of your role would be to:
Ensure simulation processes are efficient and accurate, resulting in high quality interest-rate risk reports
Ensure the business unit's processes and data are maintained, up-to-date and accurate
