Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing multiple teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Lead Superintendent will play a critical role in coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining quality standards across all phases of construction.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide on-site activities.
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols such as OSHA standards.
- Coordinate with project managers on budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement processes including heavyBid for cost estimation.
- Monitor quality control measures to ensure work meets specified standards and client expectations.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to verify electrical systems' integrity.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct safety meetings regularly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on pipeline or heavy civil projects preferred.
- Supervising experience leading large teams on active construction sites.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Familiarity with contracts management and quality control procedures.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training required.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination among teams and stakeholders.
- Technical skills including blueprint reading and use of testing equipment like ohmmeters are highly desirable. This role offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a dynamic environment that values innovation, safety, and excellence in construction delivery.
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
