Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering detailed explanations and conducting product demos to highlight features and benefits
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Upsell products and accessories to meet customer needs while maximizing sales opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques
• Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
• Maintain knowledge of store inventory levels, assist with stocking and inventory management to ensure product availability
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely
• Support the team by supervising junior staff when needed and contributing to a collaborative work environment
• Conduct basic retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments

Skills

• Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures for smooth transaction processing
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and inventory management
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team operations
• Skilled in merchandising, stocking, and product presentation techniques to attract customers
• Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
• Ability to perform upselling effectively by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products
• Experience conducting product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently
