The Indiana University (IU) School of Social Work (SSW), founded in 1911, is a university-wide system school with CSWE-accredited MSW and BSW Programs since 1923 and 1975 respectively, reaffirmed in 2021. School headquarters are located in Indianapolis at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI) with programs on 7 IU campuses. IUSSW enrolls approximately 1,800 students across programs (PhD, MSW, BSW) and campuses. The IUSSW is nationally and internationally recognized for educating leaders of tomorrow through community-engaged practice, research, and partnerships to positively impact individuals and society.
Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities: Develops systems and structures for program evaluation, student success metrics (retention, graduation rates, etc.), annual and biennial accreditation reports, and self-study documentation. Analyzes recruitment, enrollment, retention, attrition, and graduation rates to identify trends and support strategic intervention initiatives for student success data. Administers, processes, and reports on midterm course evaluations. Responds to specific data inquiries from the Dean or supervisor as needed; other tasks and duties as assigned. Uses of Power BI and SQL to establish academic and curricular processes for data use and strategic initiatives. General Responsibilities:
Provides experienced analysis of existing data and data structures and satisfies ad-hoc. reporting/analysis requests. Creates reporting specifications for new reports/dashboards/analytical tools and performs. testing/validation; ensures integrity, accessibility, and accuracy of reports/dashboards and data structures; reviews and approves user requests for access to reporting data and tools. Consults with administrative leadership, faculty, and/or staff to identify new business reporting needs and provides guidance and interpretation of complex environments and data. Documents data analysis efforts (data sources, reporting specifications, tools, issue/problem resolutions). Performs experienced analysis to interpret and determine validity and quality of data. Performs migration and conversion of data as needed in support of analysis efforts. Researches and stays up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools and makes recommendations for implementation to improve data analysis services and approaches to inform decision making. This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary:
Core: $48,900-61,200 annually
Career: $51,000-68,000 annually
