The Front End Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing in-house applications that underpin Escode’s digital products and services. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable software solutions using modern technologies, with a particular emphasis on React and API-driven web interfaces. The developer will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience. By staying abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices, the Front End Developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of Escode’s technology stack, supporting the business’s strategic objectives and growth. Key Accountabilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software features based on technical specifications. Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices. Conduct unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality. Troubleshoot and debug software issues independently and collaboratively. Stay up to date on the latest development trends and technologies relevant to the project. Document code and technical decisions for future reference. Proven experience as a software developer. Have significant React experience. Be comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose. Knowledge with the following supporting software: Ansible LaTeX ReactJS Angular Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git). Experience with unit testing frameworks. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Behaviours:
