Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse specialist to join our team with AmeriServe. The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Keeping accurate records of warehouse inventory and ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
- Receiving and Shipping: Overseeing the receipt and inspection of incoming goods and managing the shipping process for outgoing products.
- Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse layout to maximize space and efficiency.
- Equipment Operation: Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordination: Working with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and sales, to coordinate warehouse activities.
Requirements:
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Organizational Skills: Managing space and resources effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Handling physical tasks such as lifting and moving goods.
- Technical Proficiency: Using warehouse management software and operating machinery.
- Communication Skills: Coordinating with team members and other departments.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any issues that arise in the warehouse operations.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in warehouse work
- Minium Education: High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Forklift Experience: 2+ years required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work with a variety of products
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
- Ability to climb on and off equipment, bend, kneel, reach, stand and squat
- Full Time hours Monday-Friday typical daily hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Typical working hours with occasional need for flexibility to address emergencies or peak times.
