Whitmore Custom Homes is a premier builder of luxury homes at a fixed price, known for our commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and exceptional client service. Based in Grand Rapids, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Site Manager.

We have multiple exciting projects lined up for 2026 with luxury new build and renovation projects ranging from Grand Rapids to the Lakeshore, and we're looking for someone who is ready to take an impactful step in their career with a growing organization.

This construction professional is expected to be the primary on-site point of contact for multiple high-end build projects, bringing attention to detail, a hospitality/customer service mindset, and adherence to the highest building standards.

Duties

• Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Hands-on oversight and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
• Utilize BuilderTrend software for project planning and tracking.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Monitor construction site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Along with office-based Project Manager, oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding project status and updates.
• Implement time management strategies to optimize workflow and efficiency on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
• Experience in managing multiple luxury projects simultaneously a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software such as BuilderTrend is preferred.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to visualize project outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability in project coordination within a construction site environment.
• Exceptional time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
