Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our vibrant restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service, managing inventory, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage shift schedules, assign duties, and monitor team performance to optimize productivity.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to maintain quality standards.
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to reduce waste and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all areas of operation.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to food production and labor costs.
  • Support staff training programs focused on culinary skills, food safety, hospitality management, and team development.
  • Participate in hiring processes including interviewing candidates for various roles within the restaurant.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service or fine dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a background in staff training & development, team management, and supervision.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties confidently.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food industry best practices.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Previous experience in casual dining or banquet settings is advantageous.
  • Culinary experience or hotel experience is a plus; certifications in food safety are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $50,000.00 per year
