We are looking for an experienced *Business Analyst* to join the team. This is a customer-facing role that is focussed on requirements gathering, project specification and delivery.
We are looking for someone that can demonstrate:
* Clear analytical thinking and precise written communication
* A proven track record in a busy environment with competing priorities
* A solid understanding of typical business management processes, including order management, stock control, and invoicing
* The aptitude and interest to pick up complex business scenarios, and work across multiple concurrent projects. _For example, you might be working with the detail of how wine procurement works one week, and requirements for invoicing in the utility industry next week._
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to chair a meeting effectively
* Excellent written English, with experience including business and technical documents
* A practical approach to problem-solving
* Resilience and flexibility, with the ability to cope under pressure
You will develop a detailed understanding of our existing clients and their software systems, and also be involved in new projects from proposal stage.
Ideally, you will have a basic understanding of database and/or software design principles and experience of working with SMEs.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Identify, capture and analyse business requirements from our clients, via workshops and Teams calls
* Create functional specifications to describe software development projects, _from smaller change requests through to larger development projects, working to our internal documentation standards_
* Brief managers and our development team on project requirements
* Assess the impact of change requests and discuss risks and benefits
* Support user acceptance testing and go-live with client stakeholders
* Develop productive working relationships internally and externally, _representing our company values of quality, trust, teamwork and delivery in everything you do_
Overall, weβre looking for you to help ensure we deliver great products and have satisfied clients, who both get what they paid for and like what they got.
Our office is in Stirling (Central Scotland). You MUST be located within commuting distance. We expect this role to be office-based initially, with the likelihood of mixed office/home working as you become more familiar with the role.
