Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that each dining experience is exceptional. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize flow and efficiency.
• Maintain an organized reservation system, including phone calls and walk-in guests.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage the waiting list effectively.
• Assist in training new staff on guest services and restaurant protocols.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.

Skills

• Previous host/hostess experience is preferred, along with a background in food service or hospitality.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS.
• Experience in hotel or restaurants guest services or serving roles is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain phone etiquette while managing reservations or inquiries.
