Role Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to partner with us as an Independent Contractor. This role is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy while maintaining strong accountability, understands California-specific ABA regulations, and is committed to ethical, family-centered care.
Contractors must demonstrate working knowledge of California ABA laws, including SB 221, and agree to uphold all applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
What You'll Do
- Conduct assessments, reassessments, and functional behavior assessments
- Design, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to behavior technicians and mid-level staff (as applicable)
- Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate respectfully with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Adhere to BACB Ethics Code and all federal and California regulations
Schedule & Flexibility
- You set your own availability
- You may accept or decline cases
- No guaranteed hours
- Services are dependent on client authorization
What You Bring
- Active BCBA certification in good standing
- Demonstrated knowledge of California ABA regulations, including SB 221
- Commitment to ethical, compliant, and culturally responsive care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while aligning with organizational standards
Independent Contractor Requirements
- Active professional liability insurance
- Active NPI number and CAQH profile
- Ability to meet California independent contractor criteria
- Background clearance as required by law and payers
