Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team as a Night Nurse Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in an Assisted Living and Memory Care setting. As an LPN, you will be assisting in the delivery of nursing care and ensuring that residents receive the support they need for their health and well-being.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Assist with physical examinations as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate residents and their families about health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support residents with daily living activities and mobility assistance.
Skills
Candidates should possess a variety of skills to excel in this role, including but not limited to:
- Proficiency in EMR systems for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong understanding of resident assessment techniques and vital sign monitoring.
- Ability to provide specialized care for senior patients, including dementia care and Alzheimer's support.
- Experience with behavioral health management and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, ideally during night shifts or in an acute care setting.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare management systems.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to variable workloads.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
- Competence in managing pain through pain management techniques.
