What you will do:

• You will work in various assembly functional areas to safely build excavators. 

As a Part Time FLEX Production Technician, you will:

• Perform routine production tasks in assembly, fabrication, paint, or other areas while upholding Caterpillar's core values.
• Follow documented procedures to safely and accurately assemble components using basic tools and equipment.
• Operate machinery, blasting and painting applications, and perform basic tack and straight-line welds.
• Support continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing principles and adhering to safety, quality, and standard work protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work or volunteer experience
• Complete the Caterpillar Online Assessment successfully
• Provide a complete application

Top candidates will also have:

• Basic computers skills
• Experience working in a team-based environment
• Experience working in manufacturing or with basic hand tools

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information:  

FLEX hours will be in increments of hours during the core hours of 7-3:30PM. You will choose your hours with a minimum of 20 and a max of 30.

*The training week is NOT flexible. Must be able to adhere to the following schedule for training: This is NOT the work schedule

Monday: 7AM- 11AM

Tuesday- Thursday: 7AM-3:30 PM

Friday: 7AM-11AM (or later)
