Your impact
At Jacobs, we push the limits of what's possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are looking for a Lead Construction Inspector within the Puget Sound Area to perform inspection of work on water/wastewater pipeline and facilities projects. This position will require you work independently and perform duties in the construction field office such as communicating issues and providing solutions concerning the work in progress, participate in project progress meetings and actively document the contractors work and field conditions.
You will work under the direction of a Resident Engineer, and will assume the following functional responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Perform quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Monitor and inspect the work of contractors to ensure proper construction methods and techniques are utilized, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Review construction plans, specifications, submittals, drawings, change orders, and Requests for Information (RFIs) to confirm that the requirements of the construction contract are applied in the field.
