You Are
As a
Cloud DevOps Architect
, you will lead the design and execution of scalable DevOps frameworks, focusing on GitHub Enterprise migration, infrastructure automation using Terraform, and cloud-native transformation across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize CI/CD pipelines, enforce security standards, and ensure seamless migration from legacy systems like Perforce or SVN to GitHub.

The Opportunity

  • GitHub Migration:
  • Plan and execute repository, branch, and history migration from Perforce/SVN to GitHub.
  • Configure GitHub repositories with branch protection, access control, and GitHub Actions.
  • Implement Git Large File Storage (LFS) and use tools like git-p4 for incremental migration.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues including file size limits, Python compatibility, and network permissions.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Manage state files and environment-specific configurations using workspaces and modules.
  • Cloud Architecture:
  • Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Design secure and scalable network configurations including VPCs, VNets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity.
  • CI/CD & Automation:
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
  • Integrate YAML templates and automate deployment workflows for .NET and containerized applications.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Implement zero-trust security frameworks and compliance-as-code practices.
  • Use tools like Azure Key Vault for sensitive information management.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship:
  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers on GitHub best practices and DevOps principles.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

  • 5+ years in DevOps roles; 2–3 years in GitHub migration projects.
  • Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Python/Shell scripting.
  • Experience cloud security, cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, SVN).
  • Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security and administration.
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • GitHub Certifications (any).
  • AWS/Azure Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

$132,000-$198,000

Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
